About Us
Since 1990, TVC22 has been a part of everyday life in our rural and semi-urban communities. Initially recognized as a traditional community television station, the organization has evolved with technological changes and local needs to become today a multimedia community media outlet: television, podcasts and digital radio, video production, online broadcasting, journalistic coverage, and educational workshops.
TVC22 is also proud to be the only official language minority community station (Francophone outside Quebec) to be part of Canadian Heritage’s Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). This distinction reinforces our journalistic mission: to inform, reflect local realities, give a voice to those who shape Eastern Ontario, and create a space where our stories can be told by the community itself.
Through our platforms and participatory approach, TVC22 helps to:
- strengthen the Francophone community;
- support citizen participation; and,
- to facilitate access to local, cultural, social and educational information.
Our technological evolution has enabled us to offer modern and accessible services: 4K production, live streaming, podcasts, regional coverage, educational projects in schools, training workshops, and soon a Living Lab (ICE) dedicated to innovation in information, communication and education.

TVC22 was officially designated an “Eco Leader” by Ecocert in June 2025, obtaining the prestigious ECORESPONSIBLE™ certification. This international recognition highlights our commitment to continuously strengthening our practices, policies, and governance in terms of sustainable development. For this first stage of certification, we have set up a dedicated committee and allocated the necessary resources to achieve the priority objectives defined in our sustainable action plan, covering all our areas of focus.
- Cross-functional: Organizational strategy; Responsible products and services
- Economic: Community Development; Sustainability and accountability
- Social: Culture & Work Conditions
- Environmental: Reduction of digital pollution; Responsible consumption and production
TVC22 and its employees are committed to uphold the highest journalism excellence and adhere to the RTDNA Code of Journalistic Ethics adopted by the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council used to measure accuracy, fairness, independence, integrity and respect in our profession.
